If you have a moment I’d like to tell you a little about myself and how I got involved in the fitness industry. In 2006 I started to live my life a little differently. A side a me I rarely like to share is that I was bullied growing up. From my middle school years to my high school years. A lot of this bullying was revolved around my weight. It was one of the hardest years of my life. Over time I decided to adopt healthy eating habits and exercise, at first it wasn’t for me it was for them but with time I found self confidence through health and fitness. Not too interesting right? Truly it was something that I should have been doing anyway. You see, it got really interesting in 2009 when I decided to compete in my first National Physique bikini competition. Where I took top 5! Then I did another one shortly after that same year.
I became addicted to fitness very fast. Somehow in my fitness journey I didn’t love my healthy lifestyle anymore, I just became addicted to it. I was upset if I couldn’t get to the gym. I felt guilt when I ate food that wasn’t part of my diet. I felt that if I wasn’t perfect in my training and eating then I would never obtain the perfect body. Balance, moderation, and consistency is what I preached to my clients because IT WORKS, yet I practiced the exact opposite. My view back in 2006 were black or white never grey.
Fast forward to 2018 I started to really put into practice what I preach; balance, moderation, consistency and most importantly self love and acceptance. Knowing that my days will not perfect therefore neither will I. It took me a long time to realize if I was consistent in my sleep, training, consumption of whole foods, and mental happiness then it would reflect not only in my body but in my mind and career. Today my balanced and healthy lifestyle approach has allowed me to be the best personal trainer and real estate agent. I believe in balance and moderation and I believe I can pay it forward to you.
I‘m here for you.
